Children: A child 23 months or younger may fly at no charge and must sit on adult’s lap. Please provide child’s weight at time of booking. Children 2 yrs. and older must occupy a seat with seat belt on and are charged full fare.
Check-in: Check-in is minimum 45 minutes prior to your tour departure time. For your safety and comfort, hats and over sized bags are not permitted on the flight line or in the helicopter. Please leave these items in your automobile. Bring picture I.D.
Photography: Bring camera and wear a dark colored shirt to reduce glare on the plexiglass windows.
Scuba Diving: No scuba diving 24 hours prior to helicopter tour departure time.
Weight Restriction: Helicopter weight and balance changes with every flight because of passenger weight, pilot weight and length of flight (fuel weight). It is important that we have accurate body weight from every passenger. FAA regulations require all passengers and their carry-on items to be weighed at time of check-in. Any passenger over 290 lbs. will require a comfort seat in our WhisperSTAR aircraft. Call our reservations for more information.
Routes & Flight Time: Sunshine does not fly any specific routes but has many sights within the area of a described tour that we intend to visit during a tour. Sights may vary due to weather. Flight times are estimates and may vary a few minutes.
Actual Flight Video: A high-definition video of your actual flight narrated and orchestrated by your pilot is available on USB for purchase.

This is definitely the BEST way to see the beautiful Hamakua Coast on the Big Island of Hawaii! Our pilot flew into each of the valleys, even the narrow ones, and we were able to see all the waterfalls. He even pointed out the valley wall landslides, resulting from earthquakes in the last decade. The views of the eroding coastal cliffs and the narrow black-sand beaches were also spectacular. There is limited access by road to this beautiful part of the island, so helicopter is definitely the way to go. The pilot and staff were very safety-conscious and professional. Our family group of five spent 5 days on the Big Island and 6 days on Oahu, and everyone agreed this helicopter tour was one of the top highlights of the entire trip to Hawaii.

Pilot was very well informed and could answer most questions we had about the island. View of the rugged northern coast of the island were stunning from the chopper. Value for money was also not bad given the flight time. Only complaint was that the visibility wasn't great from the rear middle seats due to the design of the helicopter but that isn't really something under their control.

We had an amazing time on the helicopter ride. From start to finish it was an easy process and everyone was so helpful and nice. The views were breathtaking and the pilot was knowledgeable. Absolutely recommend this!!!

What a perfect way to end our trip. The views were stunning. The pilot and staff were friendly and organized. We opted to leave our phones and cameras in the car knowing that a video of the journey would be available for purchase and we are so glad we did.

I would avoid this company as it is unreliable. We booked well in advance and were looking forward to our helicopter tour but they canceled the tour two days before for no good reason, We ended up going with Blue Hawaiian. A little bit more expensive but worth the difference; great and reliable service

Just amazing views!! The valleys, the sea, the everything. We paid the extra bit to sit up front and well worth it, we had the best seats in the house. Pilot was great and knowledgeable!

Such a pleasant team of employees working together to bring happiness, joy, and special moments that are unforgettable. The reservation was very easy and welcoming. Everyone is very accommodating. Everything was communicated clearly. The usb video and the pictures were amazing. Thank you all for the special moments! In addition thank you Kevin for picking us up and driving us back to the resort, and answering and or explaining all the questions I had .

Awesome views, great information from the pilot. It was raining during our visit but that helped to create more beautiful water falls. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful and comfortable tour as a first-time helicopter experience! Our pilot, Ian, quickly put us at ease with a quick description of his extensive background of 20 years in military aviation. Ian was very careful to point out what we should expect during every step of the flight and provided a great narrative about all of the things we saw. The parts of the island you can see on this tour are a beautiful and stark contrast to the limits of what you get driving. Tons of waterfalls. Definitely recommend!
