Ok, there was a boat, beer and sushi but none of it really met what was expected from the description. They packed 30 people on the boat, barely enough room to sit and the seating is not at all comfortable. The sushi was delivered to the boat at 5pm by van, it was not put on ice or any kind of cooling but just left to sit in the heat...it definitely did not taste that great. For the "premium beer" was Michelin ultra, bud, bud light and stella. The other "hors d'oeuvres" on hand were some slived baguettes, some meat slices (also left out in the heat) and several cheese which had warmed enough that they were spreadable. We saw the 5pm sushi delivery because we got there at 5pm as instructed for a 530pm departure. They loaded us onto the boat at 530 but then kept waiting as more people kept arriving by the same van that brought the sushi. We didn't depart until after 6pm. So yes, they technically did meet the wording of their description. However all of the food offered raised questions as to safety with most of it meeting ir missing the bare minimums of what was expected.
We had a great cruise with the crew and especially Marta. The sushi was terrific and Marta did a great job keeping the drinks flowing and music playing. We would definitely do it again. Clouds ruined the sunset but it was a great way to see the waters around the Key West marina. We even spotted a few dolphins swimming around the boats.
We enjoyed the sunset, but there was barely enough sushi for everyone on the boat and it seemed a bit disorganized. Wine and other drinks were warm because they hadn’t been put in the cooler ahead of time. Boat was more crowded than expected. Overall, had a good time but not sure I would recommend given the price.
We chose to do this sunset cruise on the last night of our vacation and it did not disappoint. I first heard of this sunset cruise when someone posted pics on a FB Key West group of the sushi boat and I was SOLD. My family loves sushi and charcuterie boards and they had both. The boat is like a large pontoon and holds up to 35 guests. Capt Mike was very knowledgeable of the harbor and pointed out interesting sites and facts of the harbor, Mallory Square, and Sunset Key. The host, Marta, was very friendly and energetic. The price includes domestic beers, alcoholic seltzers, champagne, water, sodas, sushi, and charcuterie boards of cheese, bread, and olives. The trip is 2 hours. They played music such as Jimmy Buffet. I like that it doesn't offer live bands or large crowds. By the end of the cruise, we were like a large family.
We were there this past weekend to celebrate our anniversary and on Sunday we booked the sunset cruise. We walked up not expecting a pantoon boat but the service was PERFECT! Captain Zack and First Bar mate Marta were top notch! I HIGHLY recommend them!
