Our guide Brian was attentive and loved to make us laugh with his jokes and enthusiasm. The Whitney Plantation is an important place to learn about the lives of the enslaved. I highly recommend this site. You take an audio tour, but there are guides scattered around to answer questions. They have two original slave cabins still onsite. There is artwork/sculpture on the grounds to bring an emotional component to the experience. The airboat tour was great for seeing the swampland. I have done airboats in Florida, but this was entirely different--no mangroves, just sawgrass. Lots of mud that somehow the airboat just goes right over. The driver/guide was knowledgeable and personable.

The Whitney Plantation tour was excellent, the swamp boat tour was a great time, and Brian with Crescent City Tours was so fun and informative.

Loved Crescent City tour guide Brian great information and entertaining/ friendly Hour drive to Whitney Plantation. This is a must do Crescent provides transportation Whitney gives a prerecorded self guided device it was great. There are also Whitney employees along the route to answer any questions. This is from the enslaved point of view Swamp tour with airboat was great fun 9 people on the large air boat not a big pontoon boat will do again if in warmer months and hope for more wildlife. Still fun and worth the adventure boat Captain provided baby alligators to hold and educated on swamp creatures habitat and ecosystem all ages would love dress warm

This was a great tour and a great way to see both the Whitney plantation and boat tour in a day. Brian was our tour guide, and as other reviews have said, was awesome! He was knowledgeable and entertaining and took the time along the drive to show us various interesting things. The Whitney plantation was really eye opening and informative and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting New Orleans. The boat tour was also great and gave a really good understanding of what the swamps are like and we of course saw some of the wildlife :)

Whitney Plantation was closed due to Hurricane Ida damage however, a few days before our departure we were contacted and provided options. We chose Laura Plantation instead and the airboat adventure into the bayou was a hit with our son! Thanks for memorable trip!

Fantastic! Brian was awesome. Learned so much at Whitney. The airboat ride was wonderful. And … Do NOT miss the beignets at the fee fo lay!

This tour was well worth the cost! The history was so important for our family to hear and see. This part of our history is not covered as it should be in schools today. The staff at the plantation and the air boat were fantastic and happy to see us. We saw 5 alligators in the swamp and the plantation grounds are kept in pristine condition. The art work is powerful and a must see. Our driver, Brian, was hilarious! He was very knowledgeable about the city's history. We had lunch at another plantation which was delicious. We were picked up around 8am and returned to our car a little after 5pm. We had a party of 6 and were easily accommodated. It was such a great day!

Brian is one of the best tour guides I've ever had! Knows his stuff and really enjoys his job - which makes it really enjoyable for all the tourists he deals with. Hotel pickup & drop off were great. Visited the Whitney Plantation in the morning, very good lunch at the Oak Alley restaurant & then a fun swamp tour. Saw a couple of large gators and other critters

I had wanted to go on this tour for awhile, working on research of slave history. This included lots of stories and not a glamorize plantation experience. 1 1/2 hr. Was just right. Intro in gift shop was very well done. Loved the sculptures of the children.

This was my first time visiting New Orleans. Brian. picked us up from our hotel with such a warm welcome. We had two tour destinations. Each one was about a one hour distance. The drive was enlightening and fun! He is so knowledgeable. His insight into the history of New Orleans. As well as suggestions on other places to experience and places to eat. I loved his sense of humor. It’s obvious that he truly loves his job and wants everyone to have an awesome time. I’ve had many travel experiences. Brian will not disappoint! I Highly Recommend!
