We LOVED this experience!!! My kiddos each got to walk their own llama/alpaca, my parents too, who are in their 60s/70s, and they were all smiles the entire time. I got the reins to walk with Biscotti the kissing llama, an Instagram celebrity in his own right. They are so soft, and so gentle, and so full of personality. Owner Andrea taught us so much and also played photographer for us, going above and beyond; we had such a good time, I cannot say enough good things.
Hi, I booked an alpaca hike and was so excited to go. Unfortunately after driving 3 hours to reach this farm, I went to the location listed on Google Maps that is in Pawling NY which is 45 mins away from this location!!! When I called them stating this, the lady giving the hike was extremely rude and told me it is not HER problem that HER business location on google maps is wrong. I mean I planned out the entire Christmas break AROUND THIS hike and just for her to tell me sorry don't brother coming? She even told me I read the google maps wrong because the other clover brook farm is under a different name, see attached screen shot. It even has PICTURES of alpacas on it. I am sure I am not the first customer to get the location wrong. Complete waste of a trip and the entire day of driving. Do not assume their address on Google maps is the same as the address on their website, it is not! At the very least I would need a full refund, not to mention I brought all the proper footwear just for this hike.
Not only were we able to see the llamas and alpaca’s but Andrea introduced us to other farm animals as well. Hike was amazing and you get to walk with your own llama/alpaca. They also have a nice shop where you can buy homemade products made my the farm!
Wonderful experience for animal lovers! I was greeted by 2 beautiful, healthy and friendly cats and could see the llamas and alpacas on the other side of the gate from the parking area. This farm is beautifully kept and the animals are very well taken care of. Our hostess Andrea was very nice and obviously loves the animals. We saw the sheep, goats, cows and of course the alpacas and llamas. There are also chickens. We took a nice walk each with our own animal. I have been to other alpaca farms and these by far were the friendliest animals. We also loved the farm store, bought some soap and beautiful ornaments.
The Alpaca hike and farm tour was wonderful. My wife and I visited the farm on Friday and had an absolutely wonderful time. Andrea, the owner was very personal and very enjoyable to experience this fun day with. We got to meet some of the goats, Llamas, Alpacas and learned a little about running a farm. The best part of our day was hiking with the Llamas and Alpacas. My wife and I were lucky enough to be the first two in the group of seven and lead the hike. I had Percy the Llama and my wife had Remy, a really cute white Alpaca. It was lots of fun to see my wife with a wide smile for the entire walk with her Alpaca. The hike was approximately a mile but not difficult. We are in our mid 60’s and it was a piece of cake. A fun day, to share and enjoy with some very gentle animals.
I took my 8 year old for the farm tour and it was an amazing experience. We learned all about everything that went into owning a real working fiber farm. We learned about the different types of feed, how to care for them and got to do some felting at the end. The animals are affectionate and curious, and the owner was really knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely going back
Myself and 7 of my friends had the most amazing experience this past weekend during our farm tour and llama/alpaca hike. We had the pleasure of having the very lovely Dawson as our guide - the passion, knowledge, and love he had for the farm and for the animals were so evident and very inspiring. I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed his tour and appreciated all of the information (and laughs) he provided. Sunday the sheep, Remy the alpaca and Percy the llama were the true stars of the day! The property was beautiful and the hike was the perfect length. I will absolutely be coming back soon and recommend this place to anyone who has an appreciation for animals and nature. Thank you Clover Brooke Farm and thank you Dawson for a very memorable day!
