Like everything, it is only worth it if you use it. We vacationed in Chicago and the City Pass had many of the attractions that we wanted to see, so it made monetary sense to buy one. My one warning is that you need to make reservations with many of the attractions, so plan your visit and make your reservations EARLY, or you may not get to use all the passes.

I took my grandson to Chicago for his 17th birthday. He wanted to check out all the museums and the Lincoln park zoo. We did all that and more. The city pass and making advanced reservations for specific events made our trip so fun and easy.

The citypass made our Chicago visit so much better! We booked times for Shedd and Museum of science and industry beforehand and walked right in for both with a bonus 4d experience at Shedd! We walked past the line at the Art institute and were in the expedited line at skydeck ( thank goodness, that line was a mess) We even got a discount in the museum shop! I would recommend this completely!

I had issues with my viator passes being accepted at the Field museum and the Shedd Aquarium. This needs to be fixed. Looks like they needed a qr code and the tickets issued only have a bar code. At the Aquarium they were finally able to look at the information in the computer, but it's uncomfortable when the validity of the tickets is questioned.

We purchased the 5 attraction pass and utilized the advance reservation system to make the most of our four days in Chicago. The pass allows purchaser to select timed entry on specific dates, expediting entry to several popular tourist attractions. Purchasers have the ability to choose from several major attractions while saving on individual entry fees.

We did Chicago City Pass and overall the pass saved us some money. However, there were no mentioning of requirement to make reservations in our passes that were emailed to us. Most of the places required reservations ahead of the visit. (You had to go the City Pass website to see all the fine print). Once we got to our first attraction we found out ( not sure if it’s just me, but I look at my pass inclusion/exclusion list and wouldnt think about going to the website for additional fine print). We only had 2 days and it was a bit stressfull to manage, the city pass website also doesnt work well and doest actually link to places to places to make reservation (it just soins forever)

Saved a bit of money, but not time. At the Shedd and the Field Museum, we had to wait in longer lines than the regular ticket lines. About 45 minutes at Shedd, half hour at the Field museum. The lines were non-existent at both to buy regular tickets.
