  Vijay was an excellent tour guide. he was knowledgeable about the gouse, the history, and gave us great suggestions on where to go on our day in Salem

  Absolutely fabulous tour! The tour guide had an amazing wealth of information! In addition, he provided ample time for questions. This is a “Must Do” tour! Do it early in your visit because you’ll understand Salem better!

  This was an amazing home and to think it has been here for 300 years is unbelievable. The architecture and wood working is incredible. A lovely home and would love to stay sometime at the B & B.unbelievable

  There were 6 of us who do the Local Lore by Candlelight at the Daniels House. It was the first time any of us had ever been inside. Such a beautiful and amazing house. The stories told were excellent! I recommend anyone thinking about visiting Salem, to tour this house, even if the stories event isn’t going on! Well done!

  The tour was amazing and highly informative. Veejay has a passion for history, and it's equally matched by his passion for the Daniel's house. He left no mark unexplained, and as a history buff, I was extremely impressed by his knowledge and hospitality. I can not speak any higher of this experience, and only regret not being able to stay there!

  Wonderful tour with fascinating information. The host Vijay was very knowledgeable and explained a lot of details about the house and the time period/lifestyle of when it was built. I would definitely recommend checking it out!

  This evening of lore and history with BJ was an incredible attribution to our vacation. The opportunity to experience this historic home and listen to BJ's stories was truly enjoyable and a memorable experience. I recommend this for those who are intrigued by history and interested in seeing a historic home.

  BJ is a friendly and knowledgeable host and made us feel very welcome on the tour. We were able to tour two rooms in the oldest part of the home, learning about the history of the house, the people who lived there, and many of the furnishings and decorations. Seeing the old kitchen and hearing about all the work that was involved in keeping a house running in the 17th century was particularly eye-opening. Well worth the money for the experience and also to help preserve a beautiful historic home.

  Deep in the heart of the most historic area in Salem, MA you will find the Daniel's House, a 17th century home in extraordinary condition. You can take a tour of this home, but you can stay overnight if you are lucky enough to score a reservation! The house has operated for many years as a bread and breakfast, steps away from everything that Salem has to offer. I took the excellent tour which covers a couple of rooms and grand entrance on the first floor. You will see two intact 17th century fireplaces with tools, period furniture, paintings, and accessories, and an occasional 21st century article mixed in. After all, people live in this house. The guide/host was superb. Not only did he relate a complete history of the house, but he was able to add information about the house's structure and mechanics inside and out that you don't often hear on house tours. This is a very comfortable place to visit for any length of time. Highly recommended!

  Incredible history! It's amazing to know that this house has stood in that exact spot since it was built in the 1600s. It wasn't lifted and moved like other homes in the area were. The house was maintained and cared for incredibly well so many old world details survived. Our guide (i think his name was TJ? Or TK- I'm sorry I have a terrible memory for names) was enthusiastic and had lots of wonderful history to share with us- from Stephen Daniels to architectural quirks, he really laid it on, and we loved it! Absolutely fascinating and beautiful. Definitely need to visit if you want to see the inside of one of these cool historic homes.
