Itinerary

When you arrive at the snowmobile office we will provide you with warm gear and a heated helmet. Then you will receive a safety and operations brief; followed by practice riding. When you are complete with practice riding; your 1 hour snowmobile adventure begins. Trails are picked based on rider ability.

Oh my gosh this was SO much fun. I honestly had a much better time and was way warmer than I thought I would be. My guide (Victoria) made sure we had the right gear and there were even heated handlebars. My group got to go pretty fast in some straightaways and Slick (it’s what her helmet said) always made sure to check on us and ensure our safety, especially with the extra moosen around this year. At one point we got to stop on the frozen lake to take photos, where Slick helped us out with that while telling jokes that had us all rolling. I think she’s pretty much a professional Alaskan, and I would totally book to ride with her and Rod’s Alaskan guide service again. Oh! While there I got to see all the dog teams coming and going, even though I hadn’t booked a mushing excursion, which was cool to see. We even passed a few teams out on the trail! Such a fun experience. Shoutout to Trout for always shutting the door!

We were there for the 1hr snowmobile tour. Victoria instructed us on the skidoos and after a 5 minute warm up we started our tour where we also saw a moose with it‘s baby. Overall a great tour. Thank you very much Victoria and the whole team behind this activity!

This was an awesome trip! Everything at Rod’s is organized, not surprising since he’s retired military. It was -15F and I never felt cold. From head to foot, Rod has you covered. Our guide was Victoria and she was on top of her game. She was engaging, energetic and very professional. My wife had never been on a snow machine and Victoria made her feel safe and secure. Along the way we saw 6 moose at various points. We went on narrow trails and blasted down the pipeline. We had a blast!

Saw several moose. Even had one leading us on the trail for a while! Rodney Jr. was a great guide. Highly recommend Rod’s Alaskan!

Rod Junior was genuine and great, i was worried the group tour would be slow and boring but it was tons of fun. The rental gear was high quality and looked brand new. People were great.

Went in January… This was the best tour I enjoyed while in Fairbanks. The 2 hours is a perfect time for the trip, saw lots of moose and took pictures. Thank you Rod for an amazing time!

What a great day!! Rod’s had everything for the ride; you just had to show up!! All the gear was well maintained and kept us warm!! Rodney Jr was an awesome guide!! From beginner to experienced rider he knew how to allow you enjoy the ride!’ Saw 9 moose with his keen Vision!! Just a great experience all the way around; groomed trails to great views!!

Had a fantastic snowmobile tour with Rodney. We went late in the afternoon. We saw a couple moose along the trail. Towards the end, we stopped to enjoy the sun setting above the trees. The trail has plenty of variety, including a stretch where you can push the snowmobile to its limit.
