We travel 10 to 16 miles and visit 3 wineries on this tour of the Dry Creek Valley. Sticking to the quiet West Dry Creek Rd, this ride is easy and fun for any level of cyclist with small rolling hills and smooth roads. We meet for a bicycle fitting and safety overview at 10:00 am, the first winery stop at 11:00 am, second stop with lunch at 12:00 pm, and third stop at 2:00 pm, and return around 3:30 pm. We had an amazing day bike touring through the vineyards with Getaway Adventures. It truly made it an authentic experience to bike to the vineyards, to breath in the fresh air and sample the various wines. Our tour guide did an exceptional job providing us with information, keeping us safe and allowing us to go at our own pace. We could not have asked for a better day!

Our multi-day bicycle trip, planned by Getaway Adventures, was beyond our expectations. Prior to our trip we had asked for guided tour days as well as self-guided days (using their maps and our GPS). We were provided with everything we needed – from well-maintained bicycles, helmets, water and a travel sack. The staff happily installed our bike seats that we had brought with us and was thorough in fitting us to the proper bikes. We stayed across the street from their headquarters at the absolutely beautiful and elegant, River Belle Inn on the Russian River. After a delicious and hefty breakfast included at the inn, we began each day with a personal meeting with Getaway owner, Randy Johnson, who had taken all of our requests ahead of time and created personalized tours for us through the stunning Dry Creek Valley, The Alexander Valley and the Russian River Valley. Each was outstanding. We did some exploring ourselves to sites that were recommended by the staff and some sites we decided to return to on our own. The extensive planning offered by Getaway Adventures made for an extremely smooth and gorgeous trip; far beyond our expectations. We were even shuttled to the Sonoma Coast State Park for a day of glorious hiking above the Pacific! The bonus: we had perfect weather each day! Cool mornings and evenings - and afternoons in the low 70s. Our days ended with a well-earned Happy Hour including wonderful wines and healthy snacks at the River Belle Inn. On guided tour days, the staff had made reservations for us at fabulous vineyards with varied wine tastings and in some of these, Getaway Adventures provided us with a delicious lunch. All vineyard owners were extremely welcoming and informative. Each night, a reservation had been made ahead of time for us to enjoy many of the fabulous restaurants in Healdsburg – only a 15 minute walk away. Randy, his staff and especially his guides went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable and by the end of the trip we felt we had not only had the bike trip of a lifetime but made lifetime friends as well - at Getaway Adventures.

Such a great day. Scenery, lunch , wines and mostly the company. Angela was our guide for my sister and I . She was so much fun and knowledgeable of the wine industry. Her passion for learning and sharing with her customers is amazing. We would go back if we had time 🚲🍷

We rented bikes for the day and rode around the Dry Creek Valley of Healdsberg / Geyersville. Bikes were super nice, easy to ride and comfortable. Guys at the shop were very nice and helpful. Highly recommend!

Our guide, Gwen, was awesome. We rode ~20 miles and stopped at 3 wineries for tastings. Gwen was very friendly , accomodating, and infornative as were the wineries she selected. And the gourmet lunch was fabulous. This was our 2nd tour with Getaway Adventures and we’ll definitely plan another in a future visit to northern CA wine country🚴‍♂️🍷🤙

We had a great time. Our guide Gwen was super nice and was engaged on making sure we were comfortable and had a good time. The route could be improved to where it is a loop instead of an out and back so you could see more of the region. Wineries were good and interesting. Lunch was mediocre and could be upgraded for the price. Overall a great day and would consider again with modifications.

The scenery, the friendly wine tasting experiences, our lunch and our guide were all fantastic so too many great things to pick just one. We got some exercise cycling along beautiful Healdsburg and had great chats with our amazing guide. The two wineries we visited were lovely and we had a delicious lunch served to us in a beautiful garden at one of the wineries. We are so looking forward to going back to Getaway Adventures again!
