My husband and I toured the Andreas and Palm Canyons as guests of Darrell “Blackfeather.” Darrell was good-natured and very informative regarding native culture, botany and geological history. He showed us how to make rope with Washingtonia filifera fibers, introduced us to the sweet Rosy Constrictor and made sure we were fed, watered and comfortable. It was a fun trip and I was sorry to see it end.

We had a great experience with 'Lane' who gave our family an amazing tour, full of interesting facts and history. My sons, ages 16 and 15, said it was the highlight of our Palm Springs trip! Highly recommended.

Educational. Guide did a great job. Would have liked to have had more of an off road commercial. Enjoyed learning about the native Indians.

Teri amazed us with her knowledge of everything you would want to know about the Indian Canyons and the original Native American settlers there. For the five of us, it was just the right mix of riding and hiking. I really hope that more visitors will take this tour so they too can appreciate the Coachella Valley’s history before golf courses and casinos and understand the rich traditions carried on by the native tribes.

My friends and I took the red jeep tour recently and Terri was our guide AND the whole 3 hour tour was fabulous. Terri knew all the historical data about Palm Springs not to mention the flora/fauna of the actual canyon. We hiked to a water fall and the views along the way were amazing. This tour is definitely worth the money and Terri was off-the-charts wonderful!!

So, I’ve lived in Riverside County for nearly 40 years and I had no idea there was so much natural beauty to be found in the desert! Of course, with all the unusual rainfall this year the creeks at Indian and Palm canyons were lush with runoff and waterfalls! A true oasis of fan palms, native plants, and wildlife. Our tour guide, Teri, was very knowledgeable about the geology, history, and botanical aspects of the canyons. A truly eye-opening experience!
