Stop At: Uncle Sam's New York Walking Tours, 501 5th Ave, New York City, NY 10017-6107

2.5-hour World Trade Center and Financial District Walking Tour

Meet your guide within walking distance of the Ground Zero site, where you'll embark on a 2.5-hour journey into the bravery, passion, and tragedy of 9/11. Your guide will share key facts, illuminating events and heartbreaking stories of the tragic day while weaving through the various attractions within the World Trade Center area.

As you begin your tour at St Paul’s Chapel, you'll explore surrounding New York sites such as the grave of Alexander Hamilton, the first US Treasury Secretary; the soaring towers of Wall Street and the Canyon of Heroes; The New York Stock Exchange and Federal Reserve Bank; Federal Hall, where George Washington was sworn in as president; and the renowned Trinity Church and its storied past. See the American Express Eleven Tears Memorial, Winter Garden and, of course, the Ground Zero site. Your guide will take you to the 9/11 Memorial site, built on the exact site where the twin towers once stood. Visit the twin reflecting pools on which the names of the nearly 3,000 victims of the September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993, atrocities are inscribed. You will have ample opportunity for reflection and contemplation and are welcome to bring flowers or tributes to place by the 9/11 Memorial site.

3-hour World Trade Center Walking Tour including 9/11 Museum Tickets (limited availability)

On the enhanced 3-hour tour, you will see all the sights of the 2.5-hour tour plus a preview of the 9/11 Memorial museum with timed tickets to the museum. The Museum is an underground museum which has various artifacts of September 11, 2001, and pieces of steel from the Twin Towers, such as the final steel, which was the last piece of steel to leave Ground Zero in May 2002. Exhibits in the museum include 23,000 images, 10,300 artifacts, and nearly 2,000 oral histories of the dead provided by friends and loved ones, in addition to over 500 hours of video.

Come and witness the site of a world-changing event and feel the presence of bravery and tragedy all at once. The World Trade Center Walking Tour offers New York visitors an up-close-and-personal tour of the World Trade Center site and a look at how it has risen from the tragedy of 9/11.

HORRIBLE. We booked a tour and our tour guide didn’t even bother showing up.... very unprofessional and left us standing there waiting in the cold.

Excellent guide. Told stories of individuals. Made it personal for us even though we live in Texas. My granddaughters were touched by stories even though they were not even born when it took place.

We booked a tour with Uncle Sam's through expedia for a tour of the 911 memorial. When we showed up at the agreed upon meeting place no one was there. We phoned the number given and were told our reservation did not exist and since we were there already we could just walk over to the memorial. He blamed expedia for not passing on the info, and yet when we checked with expedia they contacted the vendor and our reservation was found right away and money refunded. We were very disappointed with having the tour cancelled which we had been looking forward to and planned our day around it and extremely disappointed with the customer service response and that he lied about there being no reservation, even though we had proof and had prepaid.

This museum is very well done it is tasteful and classy. It is a somber and sober reminder of the events of that day . I think it would be impossible to tour that museum without experiencing great emotions. It is a fascinating collection of historical objects and it tells a story from start to finish. It has powerful images and it puts you right back on that day. The mixing in audio from that day also makes the experience more intense. Being from Nebraska it was interesting to see the location of all the events of that day. The effort to clean up that site is nothing short of monumental. Going here makes you sad; but it is an important thing to do.

Goosebumps were raised with fear and anger both at a time. It was ghastly act of terrorism. Its beautifully preserved monument.

Nice small group of only 5 of us. Our guide Fred was a helpful weath of knowledge. So informative and interesting. He was on the site when the attack happened Dan’s gave us some insight of his personal story. The tour and then the museum tour that followed was incredible. Really appreciate having this experience and i am thankful.

This tour was not very informative and I regret wasting the time. spent on this tour when it could easily be done independently. The guide concentrated too much on Wall Street and not enough on the 911 memorial or World Trade Center. I was very disappointed. Do not waste your money, instead purchase a ticket to the museum and listen to the audio which is way more interesting! Would not recommend it.
