What a wonderful evening with friends on this fun tour! This tour, like the Newport Foodies Stroll we did during the summer, did not disappoint. From the delicious arancini and bruschetta at Vieste, to the fabulous swordfish at Midtown Oyster Bar, and finally an incredible dessert sampler at Bar and Board Bistro, all paired with wine that beautifully complimented each course, made for a lovely evening! Highly recommend these tours. Tom and Sue are terrific hosts and it’s great to spend time with them!

What a wonderful experience! When we travel to a new location, we typically book a food tour to get a feel of the city. This was one of the best we have experienced. Tom was a fantastic guide - filling us in on the history of Newport as well as showing us some of the tasty places to dine. Tips - A. Do wear walking shoes because you will put in some miles. B. You want to put in the miles because you will be eating quite a bit of food! C. The food was great - you will not be disappointed. We love supporting small business and that’s what you will be doing if you book with Tom.

Tom was absolutely wonderful. We’ve been to Newport several times before but all of the history and interesting stories were new to us and fascinating. Really super delicious and informative. One of the best things we have ever done while visiting the area. Thanks so much!! Gail and Bob

We were looking for something fun and different to do in Newport since we had been there multiple times and came across this tour, the night before while doing a Google Search. I purchased the tickets online, and was excited to go! We got to Newport and Tom had both called and texted me to give him a call to go over our meet up spot. Tom is a super friendly and very knowledgeable owner/tour guide! The places that we went to to eat at were: 1. Harrys -where we got the DELICIOUS sliders; 2. Knot Norm's - where we had a salad and FANTASTIC Fish tacos; (Tom said that this place has THE BEST Lobster Rolls which we will have to go back and try another time), 3. The Reef - where we enjoyed eating the AMAZING Chickpea frites and the Clam Chowder and got to choose either a glass of wine or beer; 4. and Finally at Ben and Jerry's where we each got a small cone. We certainly had PLENTY to eat. My husband and I were planning to eat dinner in Newport, but we were so full from this tour, we waited until we got home. The only things that were different than the description about the tour was the following: 1. There was no Chicken meal and 2. There was no Gelato/Sorbet place, (Tom explained that sadly, both of these restaurants are no longer in business bc of Covid, so although we were disappointed by this, we understood) 3. There was no option to get a Lobster Slider at Harry's, (bc the price of lobster has gone up considerably). Tom told us that they do another Stroll in the wintertime, which sounds great and is something that we plan to go back and do! I really liked this tour and I highly recommend it, (and have already recommended it to my friends who plan to try it out)!

Such a great time hearing about the history of Newport and getting to taste some amazing eats!! It was my first time visiting Newport and this tour did not disappoint. Def recommend and can’t wait to do the winter tour!

We had the pleasure of having both Tom & Susan as our tour guides on The Newport Foodies Stroll. The food was delicious & plentiful & the history/stories told along the route were an enjoyable way to experience the city for the first time. A must do when visiting Newport; it’s like spending the day with your wicked cool grandparents!
