  Joe Bowen is an excellent fishing charter Captain… he works hard, has good equipment and is very personable. Highly recommend!.

  I am literally counting the days until I can come back here and do this again! I went to Alaska for the first time for a Bachelor Party with 4 buddies on Captain Joe's Boat. He was funny, positive, instructive, patient, and most of all -- EXPERIENCED. We caught so much Salmon between Sept. 6-9 that I was shocked. I am not a fisherman and was completely shocked that I even caught one, let alone 50 pounds of meat. It was Captain Joe's experience, even in some ROUGH weather, that kept us laughing, catching fish, and drinking hot coffee (He brought fresh pots and snacks every morning). Can't say enough-- BOOK THIS CHARTER.

  Great days out on the water and reeling in fish. Joe always knows where the fish are and keeps his boat and gear all in top notch shape. With years of experience, Joe keeps you on the fish by knowing where you should be during the day with the tide flows and the ever changing wind patterns amongst the islands. This was my fifth year booking with "Go Fish charters" and he has always put us in excellent housing units and has everything ready for a great fishing experience.

  This is my fifth year in a row for a 2 day charter with Joe and it is always a fantastic trip! He's experienced, friendly and works hard to get on the fish you're looking for. There is no reason to look anywhere else! You will be happy you chose GO Fish charters!

  Joe was a fantastic captain. We spent two days on the water with him and 40 salmon and 4 Halibut. He put us right on the fish each day. I'm very glad we chose to fish with Go Fish! Fishing with Joe made our entire vacation.

  First class experience. An excellent boat, friendly and experienced captain, and an excellent fishing experience. We had bad weather the entire time, but with the Captain's experience we were able to locate great areas with ease and safety. We reached our limit and moved on to fish for other species. We have been fishing the Ketchikan area for over 10 years, and will continue to do so in the future with Captain Bowen. We know many charter boat guides in the area, and Jim Bowen is the best of the best.

  Fished 2 days with Captain Joe recently. It was a great experience. He is very knowledgeable. He knows the area well and had us catching fish in no time. He was very informative and patient with us making sure we followed the correct procedures for successful fishing. We felt comfortable with him. We caught a lot of Salmon and all four of us scored on Halibut. He even went out of his way to give us a tour of a sea lion basking on the rocks. When we return to Ketchikan we will definitely try to book with Go Fish Charters.

  Are looking for the Alaska experience? Look no further! I was able to fish with captain Joe for a couple of days this summer while in Ketchikan. We caught tasty fish, saw whales, and enjoy the beautiful scenery that is Ketchikan. Captain Joe is a great fishing guide that got us on plenty of fish but he is even a better guy.

  I have been fishing with Joe on the Josie Lyn for years, its always fun and we always catch fish and 2020 is no different, arrived at KTN with a recent COVID-19 test showing I was negative got through the document checking process quickly, Ketchikan is ready for guests, restaurants are open and so is Joe. We fished with Joe for 3 days we got our Kings (we even got a rare white king) a couple Coho and several pinks, when the weather laid down Joe took us bottom fishing dropped the anchor and set us on a flurry of fish we had three rods on as soon as we hit bottom ended up with a giant Ling Cod a couple nice Halibut and a bunch of Pacific Cod. Once again Joe got us on the fish and made sure we caught them, we had a great time and took fish home we saw Eagles and whales it was an experience of a life time.

  We had great time fishing with Captain Joe, We caught King, Coho and Pink Salmon along with a nice Halibut and several cod. Captain Joe is friendly and knowledgeable he really knows the area and where to catch fish, The Josie Lyn is a great boat with plenty of room to fish and a large verity of tackle. We saw killer whales, Humpback whales and eagles, the wild life viewing alone was worth the price of the charter. We'll be back.
