I've been on many tours w your company and plan to come back. Andres was awesome. He was laid back, friendly, and full of knowledge from around the world. He took so many fun photos for our family to enjoy for a lifetime. Its no question IF we will come back for more. Just WHEN. Thanks again for a fantastic day and showing my 6yo some honu and some amazing humpbacks for the first time!

We had a great experience kayaking on our Whale Watching tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and knew where to take us to see whales and sea turtles. It is a completely different experience seeing a whale from a kayak compared to seeing a whale from a boat. I recommend this tour and experience to anyone looking for a fun adventure.

We had an amazing time on our kayak and snorkel adventure with John Shappell. John did a great job customizing this tour to the needs of our small group. He made sure we saw lots of sea turtles and was able to point out beautiful small fish that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. The photos we got were fantastic. Amazing memories made and we will book with him again the next time we visit Maui!

Originally booked the experience in Makena (8 mins from our hotel). That booking was cancelled by the company the morning of which was frustrating, but we were able to rebook for 2 days later at the LaHaina location (40 mins from our hotel). Obviously, not as convenient, but it turned out to be a great experience which is why I've given it 5 stars. Tour went off right on schedule. Nice small group of 8 guests (4 of whom were our party)--all had kayaked and snorkeled before (although none of us were particularly gifted at these pursuits). Benji was our group leader. He explained everything pretty clearly and led us to see a wonderful series of animals (sea turtles, sea lions, and whales). The back drop of the mountains of West Maul was gorgeous. Gear all worked well. Water bottles and granola bars provided. Easy check-in process. We had breakfast before at Betty's (right across from Maui Kayaks) which was delicious and watched some seals playing right along the shore. A great way to end our vacation in paradise.

Armadillo was a fun guide. It was disappointing that due to the water conditions we were not able to whale watch or snorkel along the reef. He made it a fun time and brought us to an area with turtles and reef sharks to see. It was a bit disappointing to have a couple that had no experience kayaking or snorkeling, so that took up quite a bit of our time for them to be taught. Surprising they would sign up for this adventure. Nothing under the control of our guide, he made the most of it.

An unforgettable experience. While paddling in our kayaks, we ran into a whale and her baby, and spent hours watching them swim around us. It was truly magical and we're grateful to John for making the whole thing possible!

John was a great tour guide - knowledgeable and funny. We saw a mama and baby whale like 20 ft away from our kayaks! We weren’t able to snorkel because after all the crazy rain the visibility wasn’t good but the whale sighting more than made up for it.

This was fantastic we saw tons of whales and we could even hear a whale singing from our kayak. We saw a lot of turtles during the snorkeling. Our guide was pleasant and full of knowledge. We also had a beautiful view of Maui west mountains from the ocean.

Amazing!! Our Sea Kayak and Snorkeling Adventure with Maui Kayaks on 3/8 ended up being a Whale Watching and Snorkel Adventure. Our guide John S. was fantastic and very informative and had the ability to pivot to make the most of our trip. We were paddling out and noticed a pair of whales surface and he was able to guide us to a location where they resurfaced about 10 minutes later less than 10 yards from our group. This was truly breathtaking! Our snorkeling along the Makena shore was equally impressive swimming alongside turtles, fish and beautiful corral reefs. This was a truly a lifelong memorable trip! Highly recommended!
