  Trying to surf has always been on my bucket list, and today (at age 60!) I finally took a lesson with Marcello. What an encouraging and patient instructor! I had a blast and learned so much about the whole sport. Thank you Marcello for a wonderful and memorable experience. I can’t wait to try it again!

  Want to take surf lessons? Look no further because Marcello is the best! My 5 year old daughter says she want to be a surfer when she grows up, and has been begging to go surfing. So we booked a family lesson with Marcello to do during our vacation. First off, his communication with his customers is impeccable! He always called or text when he said he would with whatever information we needed to have for our lesson. When we got to the lesson, he was so patient and kind with our daughters (ages 5 and 7). Once we got into the water, he was so good and kept reassuring me (the mama) to have fun and focus on learning to surf myself because he had my girls taken care of. Well both of my girls were up on the first wave. His instruction is clear and he is very knowledgeable. He was so kind with our daughters and instilled confidence in them (not only about surfing, but also just about being in the water). Our family of 4 had such a blast and we all agree that our surf lesson was the best part of our vacation!

  Highly recommended opportunity for anyone who is interested in having fun and giving surfing a try. This review was based upon a 2-person combined lesson my 17yr old daughter and her friend while visiting the area. Marcello is an excellent teacher. He takes the time to connect with the students and explains the basics before getting into the water. Once in the water his students listen and respond to him in excellent fashion. Low pressure and a wonderful life lesson/experience while visiting the area. Communications with Marcello were excellent and he relayed all relevant information needed to plan the lesson in Boca Raton ( 15 miles and 45 min north of Ft Lauderdale with traffic) via voice and text. If lessons are in Boca, pay the $20 all-day parking option at the South Pavilion. Parents/family can bring a folding chair or beach towel and enjoy time on the beach as well while watching others learn. Trust Marcello, relax and have fun. Very worthwhile and strongly recommended.

  I highly recommend!! Marcello was wonderful with the kids and they all truly enjoyed it! He is not only great at his job, but also seems like a great person!

  My daughter - a shy, 8 year-old girl and my nephew, 6, took surfing lessons with Marcelo and his wonderful son Victor. They were not only able to very quickly teach them the basics of water safety and surfing, but beyond that, instilled a sense of confidence and pride in my daughter that I haven’t seen in a while. Marcelo was diligent and professional, and helped us plan the activity with beach recommendations and the best time for our 2 young novices. Both kids truly enjoyed their surf lessons and would go back in a minute. The parents, too! Hands down - best part of our vacation so far and a definite 100% recommendation! Thank you Marcelo and Victor!

  Marcello was a great teacher for 16 year old first timer! Went through safety talk first. Kid stood up on board first try, and by end of private lesson- 2 hours- was able to shuffle feet! Wow! Marcello explains everything clearly and lets it be fun. Communication was professional, timely and accurate. Directions to the beach were spot on. Grandpa and I had fun playing in the warm water too. Highly recommend.

  Our teenagers had surf lessons on Pompano Beach with Marcello from Ezride Surf School today. The entire experience beginning to end was perfect. Marcello was accommodating, took his time, was patient and both kids were up riding a wave the first try! He helped us appreciate the sport and the ocean. Don’t bother going anywhere else, he’s the best!

  Marcello is an amazing instructor. He was also very flexible in scheduling our lesson based on the weather and surf conditions. Our family had the best experience in the ocean and everyone was able to get up on their boards - this was due to Marcello instruction. Highly recommend EZride surf school!

  We had an excellent surfing lesson with Marcello with 3 adults and 3 teenagers. None of us had surfed before. Marcello was very patient with us, explained what we needed to do and helped us all catch waves. The teenagers were definitely better than the adults (ahh to be young again), but we all had a blast. Laurie was very professional in working with us on the booking. Marcello kept in constant contact with us as we had to push the day back because of a lack of waves on our original planned day.

  We took our first surf lesson with our 9 years old son this week. The booking was simple and efficient and Marcello, our surf instructor, made our afternoon a huge success! With detailed instructions received by text message, it was easy to meet at Dania beach. Marcello provided us with a breadth of information about surf, the sea, reading the waves and understanding the weather and it’s impact on the quality of surfing itself. Then, it was time to jump in the water. Marcello made us feel comfortable and safe. We felt that we, and most importantly, are son was in very good hands. The three of us were riding waves in no time!
