Rafting on the lower Pigeon River is one of the best attractions in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It's a 5.5-mile trip through the scenic Pigeon River gorge. This adventure begins at the outpost and ends at the Denton Bridge. From there we bus you back up to the outpost. During your Pigeon River rafting trip you will run about 50 Class 1 and 2 rapids with one Class 3 at the end. Water fights and splashing are very popular on the lower Pigeon River.

There is a guide in every raft. You will be provided with a lifejacket, helmet, and paddle for every rafter.

We offer Lower Pigeon afting trips Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from Memorial Day - Labor Day. Â Spring and fall trips are subject to weather and water availability.

A must do activity esp with the rev dean. He was an amazing person with a combination of fun and experience while rafting. I really did enjoy his jokes during the activity. I would recommend this and would definitely come here soon on my next visit here.

Our family booked this trip prior to arriving in Gatlinburg. We are all in our 50's, 60's and 70's. This was by far the highlight of our trip. We did this rafting two days after Tropical Storm Fred came through the Smoky Mountain area. We thought the trip would be canceled, but the company texted the day before to say that the trip was still a go. We had 9 people in our group, so they split us up into two groups. We had Nicole as our guide....she was very informative, personable and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions and guided us down the river. We each had PFD's and a helmet and we felt very safe. The water was a little churned up because of the tropical storm, but we felt safe. Needless to say, no matter where you sit in the raft, you will get wet! My brother and I sat in the front row and we both got soaked, but what a blast. Do not hesitate to book this rafting trip. I know some reviews mentioned problems receiving the link to pictures, but we received the link about 2 hours after we completed the trip. All I can say is FUN!, FUN1 and FUN!

My family and I enjoyed it so much! Would love to come back and try the Upper Pigeon experience. next time. Preston was our awesome guide, he was kind, knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions that we had about the Pigeon River. My kids, 15 & 10 along with my husband enjoyed the whole experience very much, it was one of our favorite and most memorable part of our vacation!

Great guide made sure we were safe and had fun. First time for most of us. Kids ages 10 and 11 had a great time. Recommend 100%!!

We went rafting with our two children yesterday and Dale was our guide. He was really nice and informative… made the trip really fun for the kids. He was a great guide and gave great instructions!!

We did the lower river rafting (for younger kids) and we all (2 adults, 4 kids ages 4-15) had a blast! We weren’t sure if it would be too easy/calm, and the older kids could definitely have done the upper river, but we all still thought it was so fun. It exceeded our expectations! We also thought it was so well-organized and well-run. The guides all seemed to love their jobs and helped bring more excitement and positivity to the trip.
